Question 1

What is CostRefund?

Accepted Answer

CostRefund helps Costco shoppers monitor eligible purchases for price drops. Upload your receipts, review the detected purchases, and receive an alert when CostRefund identifies a potential price-adjustment opportunity.

Costco determines final eligibility and approval for all price adjustments.

Question 2

How does the 3-day free trial work?

Accepted Answer

Both paid plans start with a 3-day free trial. You will not be charged when you start the trial. After the trial, the subscription renews at $4.99/month or $29.99/year depending on the plan you chose, unless you cancel before the trial ends. The free plan has nothing to cancel.

Question 3

How much does CostRefund cost?

Accepted Answer

CostRefund has three plans: a free plan with one receipt scan per month, a monthly subscription at $4.99/month, and an annual subscription at $29.99/year. Both paid plans start with a 3-day free trial. Premium subscriptions are available on CostRefund.com and in the CostRefund app. Where you subscribe decides who bills you.

Question 4

Is there a free plan?

Accepted Answer

Yes. The free plan includes one receipt scan per month, price-drop refund alerts, manual receipt entry and the Costco shopping list — no card required. Create your account on this site or in the app, then upgrade any time if you want unlimited scanning and automatic price-drop tracking.

Question 5

When will I be charged?

Accepted Answer

You are not charged when you begin the 3-day free trial on either paid plan; unless you cancel before it ends, you are then charged $4.99/month or $29.99/year by whoever you subscribed through — CostRefund.com, the App Store or Google Play. The free plan never charges anything.

Question 6

How do I cancel my subscription?

Accepted Answer

Subscriptions are managed where you bought them. If you subscribed on CostRefund.com, open Your subscription on the website and choose Manage Billing. For Apple devices, manage or cancel the subscription through your Apple subscription settings. For Android devices, manage or cancel it through your Google Play subscription settings. On the annual plan, cancel before the free trial ends to avoid the charge.

Question 7

Can CostRefund cancel my subscription for me?

Accepted Answer

If you subscribed on CostRefund.com, you can cancel it yourself from Manage Billing on the website. Subscriptions bought in the app are controlled by Apple or Google, and CostRefund cannot cancel those on your behalf. You need to manage the subscription through the store account used to subscribe.

Question 8

Can I get a refund for my CostRefund subscription?

Accepted Answer

Refunds depend on where you subscribed. Charges made on CostRefund.com are processed by our payment provider, Stripe — contact support and we can look at the charge directly. Charges made in the app are processed by Apple or Google, so those refund requests go through that store and follow its policies. CostRefund cannot guarantee that a refund request will be approved.

Question 9

Can I restore a previous purchase?

Accepted Answer

If you subscribed in the app, use Restore Purchases while signed in with the same Apple ID or Google account. If you subscribed on CostRefund.com, there is nothing to restore — sign in to the app with the same CostRefund account and Premium is already there. Restoring a purchase does not create a new charge.

Question 10

Does CostRefund automatically request the Costco price adjustment?

Accepted Answer

No. CostRefund identifies potential price drops and alerts you when a purchase may qualify for a price adjustment. You are responsible for submitting the request to Costco. Costco determines whether the purchase is eligible and whether the adjustment will be approved.

Question 11

Does CostRefund guarantee that I will save money?

Accepted Answer

No. Price drops, purchase eligibility, and savings vary. CostRefund helps identify potential opportunities, but it does not guarantee a price adjustment, refund, or specific savings amount.

Question 12

How does CostRefund calculate estimated savings?

Accepted Answer

Personalized estimates are based on information such as how often you shop at Costco and how much you typically spend. These estimates are provided for informational purposes only. Actual price drops, eligibility, and savings may be different.

Question 13

What is the difference between potential savings and confirmed savings?

Accepted Answer

Potential savings means CostRefund identified a price drop that may qualify for an adjustment. Confirmed savings means a user reported that the price adjustment was successfully received. Detected opportunities are never counted as confirmed savings.

Question 14

What receipts can I upload?

Accepted Answer

Upload your Costco warehouse receipts. CostRefund identifies the purchases on them and monitors eligible items for price changes. Online orders are not scanned from a receipt — add those items manually and CostRefund monitors them the same way. Costco Food Court and Costco Gas receipts are not supported. You can review and correct receipt information when an item is not detected accurately.

Question 15

How long does CostRefund monitor my purchases?

Accepted Answer

CostRefund monitors eligible purchases during the applicable price-adjustment period. The monitoring period may depend on the purchase type, purchase date, and Costco’s current policies. Costco determines the final eligibility window.

Question 16

Is my receipt information secure?

Accepted Answer

CostRefund uses receipt information to identify purchases and provide price-drop monitoring features. Please do not upload passwords, full payment-card information, Costco account credentials, or other unnecessary sensitive information. Our Privacy Policy sets out what is collected and how it is used.

Question 17

What happens if I cancel?

Accepted Answer

Your access stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, whether you subscribed on the website or in the app. Subscription features end when that access expires.

Question 18

What other features are included?

Accepted Answer

A paid subscription — monthly or annual — adds unlimited receipt scanning, spending analytics, the price tracker and an ad-free experience. Price-drop refund alerts, manual receipt entry and the Costco shopping list are included on every plan, including the free one.

Question 19

Does CostRefund work at every Costco warehouse?

Accepted Answer

Feature availability, detected prices, deals, and purchase eligibility may vary by warehouse, region, purchase method, and available data. CostRefund does not guarantee that every item or warehouse will have complete price information.

Question 20

Is CostRefund affiliated with Costco?

Accepted Answer

No. CostRefund is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Costco Wholesale Corporation. Costco determines its own prices, policies, eligibility rules, and price-adjustment approvals.

Question 21

How can I contact CostRefund support?

Accepted Answer

You can contact CostRefund support through the support option inside the app, or by email at info@sfdify.com.
